I lost a hooded sweatshirt in the University Place parking lot on Sunday the 6th, somewhere around 4pm. It is black with a zippered front, and it has KUTZTOWN on the front in maroon colored capital letters with gold embroidered outline. Size either medium or small. Needed to be washed.
If found, please return to Angela Blizman, c/o University Place front desk -or- 305C if you live in UP.

I made some designs for my wife's bio page that she's putting together for her show at The Uptown Espresso Bar (466 W Main St) using a cartoon version of her with various photos of Kutztown as the backdrops. Here's a few...
( Images behind cut..Collapse )
Items will include handspun/dyed yarns, crotcheted hats & scarves, fabric flower broaches & barrettes, etc. On display for the entire month of October (starting this Monday night). Please stop in, browse and sign the guest book. The Uptown Espresso Bar features a wide variety of coffee drinks, as well as bagels, muffins, breakfast sandwiches, pastries, cold pasta dishes (generally vegetarian) and board games. Smoking is permitted in the backroom. Open every day except Sunday.

Look, as much as you guys enjoy harassing my gmail and bringing more drama to my life then I already need right now, I'm going to put a stop to it.
1. I DIDN'T BAN MATT
2. Erica can only do the banning
3. Obviously if the leader of the group was annoyed with the way he was acting then she has the right to ban him and others if they keep it up.
4. I did not
instruct her to ban him. She read all posts and comments on her own and made her own good judgement.
5. The comment that banned him:haha...
Yeah, that's funny, offensive commentary...
Go to another school already. Good riddance to bad rubbish.
Do you think that someone should say that to another person in a community? I don't think so. So Erica took it into her own hands and banned him.
5. If said people keep this up, Erica will post, and then she'll ban you and laugh eviliy because that's what she does well.
Now if no one else has anything important to say or to discuss then don't test our patience right now.

I Really Don't Like to Post Here Twice In One Day
But since some people (not all of you) can't play nice here, I am going to have to pull out the moderator-ness in me.
If you want to be a total dick and challenge every opinion that one person sets out, you can't see the other side and you won't stop arguing even when you know it's not going to end or go anywhere then yes, you will get on my nerves and Erica's nerves. AND I would trully recomend not getting on Erica's nerves. Being her old roommate, and now a very close friend, Erica can do some fucked up shit to you if she'd like to. I'm sure if the Mofia ever knew about her, they'd want her, badly.
Now, I, Erin, am the second moderator here, I can only really delete posts and comments. I don't the banning, I just help keep the peace so to say and report back to Erica.
Concerning the recent banning,
the359 was banned because he couldn't be peaceful about the debate on food services and couldn't respect my gentle reminder that we don't need to get hostile about everything in here. Now yes, I do have a past with Matt(the359) and it's a rocky one that involved, sex, sex and some more sex and no commitment and he decided to bring that into it too. So, Erica banned him for being a general asshole.
I thought I'd explain that to you all.
Now I might be leaving Kutztown for good, Erica is too. But our time at Kutztown was spent well. We learned a good life lesson, made some great friends, and had fun at the same time. Though we'd probably never recomend Kutztown to anyone cause there are more vices then pleasentries as many people at Kutztown will attest too.
But yes, that's all I need to say.
Food for thought
One way or another, KU is always going to find a way to dick you over.
It just so happens, they seem to love to stick it to you with the meals plans.
But, believe it or not, the options are better than they used to be. I'm not saying they are good, or great, but they have come along way.
When I went to KU, the food service provider was WOOD. They had horrible food, that almost always was obviously old, and it sucked. My then boyfriend worked in the cafeteria so I heard first hand accounts of the food treachery *shivers*
My friends and I learned to suck it up and just bought our own food or ordered out a lot. It was a complete waste of money, but Kutztown only tried to give us more options, instead of improving on the crappy aspects of their service.
Good for you, or whoever wants to try to change things. This foodplace is fairly new, so maybe you'll do better raising awareness. Maybe this is part of trying to work out the kinks of a new system? Current Mood: nostalgic
I would like to remind people that everyone has a simple opinion about different qualities of Kutztown. Please don't get offended or act offended when someone doesn't like a certain quality or what the person is saying. I know we can have play-nice debates here.
If I or Erica see any offensive commentry we will be forced to delete the post.
Have a good day!!!

How do you feel about KU dining services?
Maybe I wasn't specific enough... This is for people who are tired of paying for meals they can't possibly use, or that you can only use your guest meals at the Galleria, or that the Galleria stops serving hot breakfast at 9:30 when, according to dining services, it isn't supposed to stop until 10:15.
I'm not talking about going to Montana Joe's and not getting enough ice- I'm talking about going to Montana Joe's for lunch at 3:20 and by the time you get to order 10 minutes later, they tell you that you have to flex it or use your dinner meal. Because, for some unknown reason, dining services thought it was a good idea to start dinner at 3:30.
I'm talking about the huge, obvious pitfalls in dining services, the biggest of which, I believe, is that they don't offer a real block plan. If we had a real block plan, it wouldn't matter what time you got there because you could use your meals whenever you want; If you got a soggy sandwich at the SUB, you could get something better at the South Dining Hall without having to flex it.
If you feel comfortable with the service at is stands, great. For those of us who want to try for something better, join the crusade.
(I'm not sure that the link works, so the Facebook group is "We Want Better Dining Services!" if you need to find it manually.)

I hope it's okay to advertise this community: driveforlife
It's not my community, but i belong to it. It's a community dedicated to driving/transfering animals to their new homes. It's busy every week looking for drivers and often are saving lives in the process. An area that they are very low on for drivers/transporters is Pennsylvania, especially in our area. I would volunteer but at this point, i don't even have a driver's license so i am unable to help out when it comes to driving. I thought that i'd give this community a try and see if anyone is interested. They often need drivers only on the weekends, mostly saturday and sundays which would be perfect for you students.
So if you love animals, have a car and the time to spare. Please do check out driveforlife
Moderator, if this is not okay, let me know and i can delete this post, i thought it'd be worth a try though and a worthy community to advertise.

anyone who has calderoni... help!
We have journal check on Friday and I haven't started it yet. All I know is I have to have some stuff written about the novel, Vietnam, and the Iran-Contra Affair. As for the specifics like how long and exactly what we have to write about, I have no idea what I was supposed to have done because I can't read my notes. So if anyone can please help explain, I'd really really really appreciate it. Current Mood: i hate calderoni

anyone else dislike calderoni?
So, I have to do this thing for English. It was *supposed* to be a "songfic;" like a fan fiction, but about a song. Which would have been pretty easy because I ♥ creative writing. Oh, no. She thought it would be too difficult since it's not a creative writing class, and she changes her mind. So now I have to take a song that has "significant personal meaning" and break it down line by line and describe how it relates to my life.
I've already come to the conclusion that since I don't sit down after every song I hear and try to find some personal connection to it, I'm already fucked.
Therefore, I am sending my request out into cyberspace for a song that at least sounds plausible if I can just make something up and run with it. Because right now, it's looking a lot like "My First Christmas as a Woman" by The Vandals for lack of anything better.
So if anyone can think of some generic song from which I can fabricate some fake memories, and consequently a two page paper, please send it my way. Current Mood: irate

Looking for a roommate...
I'm planning on getting an apartment for the 2005 Fall term, and I've realized I really need a roommate. Unfortunately, none of my friends are up for the offer, so I decided to look elsewhere.
If anyone else is looking for a roommate to live off-campus in the fall, leave me an AIM screenname or such.
